Egypt said it will permanently open the Rafah border crossing to ease the Israeli blockade on the Gaza Strip, sparking Israeli concerns over the Egyptian shift towards the Palestinian enclave.
Egypt would take "important steps to help ease the blockade on Gaza in the few days to come," Foreign Minister Nabil al-Arabi said in an interview on Friday, April 29, with Al-Jazeera satellite channel, Agence-France Presse (AFP) reported.
